Infrared Testnet Guide | Earn & Stake iBGT
We recently deployed iBGT onto Berachain’s bArtio testnet to allow users to experiment with the system before mainnet. In this guide, we’ll walk users through providing liquidity on the BEX and staking the LP tokens in one of our Proof of Liquidity (PoL) vaults.
Providing BEX Liquidity
To start, head to the BEX — Berachain’s native AMM — and find a liquidity pool to deposit into. You can verify whether we have a vault for a specific liquidity pair on Infrared.
To add liquidity to a pair, you’ll need to hold both assets in your wallet. In this example, we’ll be providing HONEY and WBTC liquidity, so we’ve acquired some testnet HONEY and WBTC.

After finding the pair’s page, click the Add button. You’ll then be prompted to input deposit values and to add liquidity:

After pressing Add Liquidity you’ll be prompted to Deposit your receipt tokens to start earning BGT rewards. Ignore this step ⚠️
Remember: you’ll be earning iBGT — a liquid wrapper for BGT — through Infrared, not BGT itself. You can learn more about iBGT.
Note: BGT that has already been earned cannot be converted to iBGT as it is soulbound to the earning address.
Once your liquidity has been added, head to the Infrared vaults page. Here’s the link to the HONEY-WBTC vault. On this page you’ll see the option to Stake your newly acquired LP tokens. Press MAX and Approve the balance.

When you’ve approved the balance, you’ll be prompted to stake your LP tokens, which you should also do. After staking with Infrared, you’ll begin earning iBGT!
Claiming and Staking iBGT
As you earn iBGT from your staked LP tokens, you can claim them using the vault page where you deposited.

Simply press Claim and submit the associated transaction. Afterwards, you’ll receive iBGT to your address.
Once claimed, you can either 1) use iBGT on other Berachain testnet dapps (e.g. Beradrome) or 2) stake your iBGT to earn testnet rewards from the underlying BGT.
To stake your iBGT, head to the iBGT staking page. Once on the staking page, press MAX and follow the transaction process to begin staking.

Over time, you will start earning testnet rewards from Berachain’s native dapps and can unstake whenever you wish. Once you’ve made your deposit, head over to our Discord and share screenshots in our proof-of-tastenet channel 🐻⛓
