Infrared’s Boyco partners

Infrared’s Boyco partners

Infrared is working closely with Kodiak, Dolomite, and EtherFi for the Boyco pre-incentive campaign as we prepare for Berachain mainnet. Our focus is on helping partners and users transition their pools and assets into Infrared vaults after mainnet launch. This post explains our role, our partnerships, and what to expect from Boyco.

The markets can be found at https://berachain.royco.org.

What is Boyco?

Boyco is an incentives program meant to bootstrap liquidity on Ethereum before Berachain’s launch. Projects participating in Boyco fall in two categories: applications or asset issuers. Applications (e.g. Kodiak) host markets on Boyco, whereas asset issuers (e.g. Dinero’s beraETH) participate in those markets. Users can provide liquidity for asset issuers’ tokens to a market of their choosing.

What about Infrared?

Infrared is working with both groups outlined above during Boyco. Our application partners include Dolomite, Kodiak, and EtherFi.

Dolomite

The Infrared x Dolomite markets allow users to deposit assets into Boyco on Ethereum. At launch, these assets are bridged to Berachain, where they generate receipt tokens called dTokens. These tokens will be placed in Infrared vaults and earn lending yields and Dolomite rewards. For the BGT whitelist and emissions process to start, PoL rewards need to be activated for applications beyond the BEX. Once this requirement is met and their Infrared vaults are live, Dolomite can initiate the process to enable iBGT rewards for their vaults.

Kodiak

The Infrared x Kodiak markets on Boyco operate similarly. Users deposit assets into Boyco markets on Ethereum, which are then bridged and deposited into Kodiak Islands after Berachain launch. Receipt tokens from Kodiak will be staked into Infrared vaults. Similarly to Dolomite, Kodiak can only initiate the BGT whitelisting process once PoL rewards are activated beyond BEX.

EtherFi

The Infrared x EtherFi/Veda vaults follow a similar flow to Dolomite and Kodiak, but with a focus on single-asset deposits on Boyco markets. Supported assets include wETH, weETH, wBTC, and LBTC. During the Boyco phase, users deposit these assets, which are then managed by Veda, EtherFi's vault manager. Once Boyco concludes and the migration to Berachain mainnet occurs, Veda will allocate funds across various pools and protocols.

After migration, Veda will seed pools in Kodiak and Dolomite using the deposited assets. For Kodiak, pools include eBTC/LBTC, eBTC/wBTC, and weETH/wETH, as well as weETH/beraETH. For Dolomite, assets will be directed to eBTC, wBTC, weETH, and wETH pools. Once Veda receives LP or receipt tokens from these pools, they will stake them in the corresponding Infrared vaults to begin earning rewards.

Asset issuers

Asset issuers like Tether, Ethena, Abracadabra, Dinero, and StakeStone are bringing trusted and widely used assets to Infrared vaults. Their tokens make up the liquidity pairs and markets, allowing users to farm with assets they already trust.

What can I expect from Boyco?

If you’re depositing assets into Dolomite, Kodiak, or EtherFi’s markets, you’ll earn a variety of incentives that can be tracked using the Boyco UI. You’ll also be able to see the lock up period. Once Berachain mainnet launches, your assets will be bridged to Berachain, deposited into either Dolomite or Kodiak, then deposited into a corresponding Infrared vault.

Please note: users’ liquidity will not earn BGT or iBGT while deposited into Boyco, since the chain is not live. Once mainnet goes live, Dolomite and Kodiak will be able to start the process of getting a BGT gauge when able. If approved, they can start using vote incentives to kickstart BGT emissions and thus, iBGT emissions, to their vaults.

What’s next?

We highly recommend leaning on the Boyco UI as the source of truth for all things Boyco. This will avoid any potential questions, confusion or concerns you may have. However, if you do have questions, you can open a support ticket in the Infrared Discord and we’ll try our best to help you.

Infrared’s multiple smart contract audits can be found in our documentation.

More updates will follow as we approach Berachain’s mainnet launch.
