Infrared Finance Raises $2.5m Seed Round

Infrared Finance is proud to announce the successful completion of a $2.5M seed round led by Synergis, with participation from NGC Ventures, Tribe Capital, CitizenX, Shima Capital, Dao5, Signum Capital Ouroboros Capital, Decima, Oak Grove Ventures, DoraHacks, Tenzor Capital, Alex Shin, Albert Chon, Charles Lu, Mr. Block, Chris Spadafora, DCFGod, and others.

With the funding, we aim to reimagine liquid staking in the context of Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL). These funds will play a pivotal role in advancing the development of essential infrastructure, including a network of validators, PoL vaults, and the inaugural native Liquid Staking Token (LST), iBGT.

With the entirety of support from our investors, advisors, Berachain Foundation, and Build-A-Bera, Infrared is strongly positioned to serve as a core infrastructure solution, helping drive the future growth of Berachain.

Infrared Team

The Infrared Team consists of former founders, builders, and investors deep within Web3 — with expertise across the CeDeFi, LSD, and the infrastructure landscape. We have been deeply involved since the beginning stages of Berachain, supporting its core development.

As one of the five pioneering projects in the first cohort of Berachain Foundation’s native “Build-A-Bera” Incubator, we have had the privilege of directly tapping into the deep expertise and experience of the Berachain development team, making our team among the few that are intimately familiar with PoL architecture.

About Infrared

Infrared Finance is the flagship application of the Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism pioneered by Berachain. The application reimagines liquid staking in the context of PoL with the unique soulbound elements of BGT. The protocol aims to maximize value capture via social aggregation of BGT through its infrastructure level PoL vaults and liquid staked token (LST), iBGT.
