iBGT is Everywhere

Berachain’s design is the first of its kind in how it aligns incentives between users, protocols, and validators — which are essential to the success of the network. Proof of Liquidity (PoL) uses native dapps and tokens to achieve this alignment.

Since the launch of the bArtio V2 testnet, both protocols and users have been racing to optimize how they farm the Berachain Governance Token (BGT). BGT isn’t just crucial for governance — it’s the key to unlocking PoL rewards, making it the lifeblood of Berachain.

However, earning BGT isn’t a passive process. For users, protocols, and validators, maximizing rewards requires active management. You need to identify the best BGT-earning opportunities, delegate to the highest-performing validators that share rewards, manage those rewards, decide if and when to convert BGT to BERA, and deal with the fact that BGT is soulbound to your address, meaning there’s no liquidity unless you convert to BERA.

This is where iBGT changes the game. iBGT builds on BGT’s core principles, adding a layer of composability and functionality. It enables new opportunities for users and protocols to interact with BGT in ways that weren’t possible before while enhancing the user experience.

iBGT’s Story so Far

When we launched iBGT on bArtio, our goal was simple: get iBGT into the hands of as many users and builders as possible. To enhance PoL, the infrastructure around it needs to deliver real value. And so far, iBGT has found strong product-market fit, with our ecosystem expanding quickly.
